Amber Smalley-Board Assistant
Amber currently holds a Bachelor of Arts Degree in Sociology from California Baptist University in Riverside, California. She serves as a Board Assistant to Supervisor Ashley acting as the primary liaison to the City of Moreno Valley and oversees Education, Youth Development, Cultural Affairs, EDA-Workforce Development, and manages Supervisor Ashley’s website and newsletter.
Amber has previously worked for the City of Moreno Valley as Recreational Program Assistant at Victoriano Elementary School. She also worked for Val Verde Unified School District as a Dance Coach for the Performance/Junior Varsity Dance and Pom Team at Rancho Verde High School from 2010-2013. Before working for Supervisor Marion Ashley, Amber had the opportunity to work for the non-profit organization, Think Together as a Lead Program Leader. Her training at Think Together successfully taught her countless skills on how to successfully work with youth in order to develop their skills and lift them up through positive interactions.
Amber previously worked as Supervisor Marion Ashley’s Youth Advisory Coordinator where she led high school students in the Fifth District of Riverside County in their community service endeavors, leadership skills in county government and preparation for college and their future careers.
