Welcome

Supervisor Marion AshleyIt is an honor and my pleasure to serve as your elected representative on the Riverside County Board of Supervisors. This website has been designed to provide you with the latest information on services, events and projects in the 5th district. Through our website, we hope to provide you with the highest level of access to government services.

The 5th District is truly unique in that we represent a very diverse area that stretches from Desert Hot Springs in the north east to Menifee in the south. The cities within district 5 are Banning, Beaumont, Calimesa, Menifee, Moreno Valley and Perris. Unincorporated areas include Banning Bench, Cabazon, Cherry Valley, Desert Hills, Desert Hot Springs, El Nido area, Juniper Flats, Lake Perris, Lakeview, Lakeview Mountains, Mission Lakes, Mission Springs, Morongo Bandlands, Nuevo, North Palm Springs, Painted Hills, Quail Lake, Reche Canyon, San Jacinto Wildlife Reserve, San Timoteo Canyon, Snow Creek, The Sovereign Nation of the Morongo Band of Mission Indians, Twin Pines, West Garnet, Whitewater and Windy Point.

The 5th District is also distinctive in that it includes the sovereign Indian Nations of the Morongo Band of Mission Indians, and portions of the Agua Caliente Band of Cahuilla Indians and Soboba Indian tribal lands as well as March Air Reserve Base. Providing quality County services to such a diverse area of competing needs and constituents is a challenge but one we continually strive to meet.

As a resident of an unincorporated area of the 5th district, you will have access to the Municipal Advisory Council (MAC) which gathers input and makes recommendations regarding lighting, transportation and quality of life issues in your area. You will find a map and legal description for each MAC and know who represents you on the MAC, see when and where the meetings are held so you can attend and provide information on relevant issues.

Through this site you will “meet” my staff, learn what issues they cover and have the ability to contact them directly with any questions, issues or concerns you may have about the district and the county. You will also find links to local, state, and federal elected officials as well as to the cities and Chambers of Commerce that serve the area. You will see what appointments I have on committees and commissions as well as the committees where our residents can provide their input and expertise. We have also included a calendar of events that will let you know in advance of Community Clean-Up Days, Public Health Fairs and other events in your area.

Thank you for visiting our website and please let us know of any changes you would like to see or additional information that would be of value to you.

Very truly yours,

sig
Marion Ashley
